Online QR Code Scanner

Use your camera or choose a QR code image. Read text and links directly in your browser, then copy the result.

If the scanner does not appear, refresh the page or check that your network allows its scripts to load.

From QR code to content

Two ways to scan. One simple tool.

Read QR codes from printed labels, computer screens, or mobile screenshots to view web addresses, extract text, or check the content of a QR code you created.

Scan with your camera

Allow camera access and point it at a QR code on paper, packaging, or another screen to read its content.

Read a QR code image

Choose a photo or screenshot in PNG, JPG, or static WebP format. Each image can be up to 20 MB.

Process in your browser

Camera frames and selected images are processed on your device and are not uploaded to a server for recognition.

View and copy the result

Read the text or URL inside a QR code and copy it for later use. Website links open only when you click them.

How it works

Read a QR code in three steps

No scanner app to install. Choose how to scan in your browser, keep the code clear, and view or copy the decoded result.

Start scanning
  1. Choose camera or image

Use your camera for a QR code nearby, or choose image upload when the code is saved in your photos or screenshots.

  2. Keep the whole code clear

Keep the quiet border visible and avoid glare or obstruction. Adjust your camera distance or choose a clear original image.

  3. Check and use the result

Review the decoded text or URL before copying it. If you want to visit a website, check the address and click to open it.

Frequently asked questions

A little help with QR scanning

Find help with camera permissions, supported image formats, local processing, and getting a clearer QR scan.

How do I scan a QR code online on my phone?

Open QRCam in your mobile browser, choose camera scanning, allow camera access, and keep the entire QR code in view. If the QR code is already on your phone, switch to image upload and choose a photo or screenshot.

Why will my camera not start?

Camera access requires HTTPS or localhost and permission from your browser. Check your permission settings and close other apps using the camera before retrying. Some in-app browsers do not support camera access; try your system browser or image upload instead.

Which QR code images can I upload?

PNG, JPG, and static WebP images are supported, up to 20 MB each. Larger images are resized to a maximum long edge of 4096 pixels before scanning. Choose an image with a clear, complete QR code and good contrast.

Are my images or camera frames uploaded?

QR recognition runs locally in your browser without uploading selected images or camera frames. Decoded website addresses are not visited automatically; a website is accessed only when you click to open its link.

What should I do if a QR code is not detected?

Improve the lighting, avoid glare, adjust the camera distance, and keep the blank border around the code. Small, blurry, obstructed, or damaged codes may not be readable. Try cropping excess background and selecting the image again. Detection of every QR code is not guaranteed.

Does QRCam read product barcodes?

This tool reads QR codes. It does not support one-dimensional barcodes such as EAN, UPC, or Code 128. The result is the content stored in the QR code; product lookup and payment processing are not provided.
